This afternoon I made this time lapse video of how I load my kayak onto the roof of my Hiace camper:
If you'd like to see how I fitted the roof bars to the glass fibre roof take a look here:
Fitting roof bars to a Hiace Hitop camper van / Solar power update
Diary: Today I mainly spent time doing some final preparations to the van. I glued on an indicator light cover that had come loose. I put some extra silicone rubber on a section of the edge of the roof that looked like it needed it - no leaks but I thought it was a good idea. I pulled out the fridge, turned it upside down for a while, and cleaned the burner well, and finally loaded the kayak on the roof! Everything about the van is ready now, and everything is working properly / or serviced.
I said goodbye to my family, and had a meal with them; I visited some friends and received some goodbye gifts from them - a camper toaster, a mini salt n' pepper shaker, an army surplus folding shovel - all really useful things to bring. I collected a package - my new fishing rod, a Rockfish 3-12g casting weight model, I'll do a review of it soon here. I spent a bit of time working on my video editing, and thinking about the new intros I'm in the process of making. Its been another busy day and I can't believe tomorrow is my last day here! I hope everyone had a good day too.
